Deepak Seth, Group Chairman, started the “House of Pearl” in 1987 with just one manufacturing unit in India. Today, his vision and enterprise has transformed the company into a global conglomerate with an annual business volume in excess of 5600 million. The integrated efficient Ready to Wear Supply chain involved in manufacturing, distribution, branding and retailing caters to the best retailers in the world.
A pioneer in the field of readymade garments and visionary, he identified the potential of the Far East region as a major supplier to the garment industry worldwide and set up “House of Pearl” as a global outfit.
An Economics graduate from St. Stephens College, Delhi University, Deepak holds an MBA from Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Bombay. He is an active member of the Apparel Export Promotion Council of India and held the post of “Vice Chairman” of the Eastern Region of AEPC for two years. An executive member of the Apparel Exporters and Manufacturers Association (AEMA), he was awarded the “Udyog Ratna” Award by the Haryana Govt. in 2006 for his entrepreneurial skills.
Deepak’s vision geared the group to face the post-quota regime from 2005, setting up manufacturing units across the Far East to make House of Pearl a one-stop shop for its valued customers. Pearl Academy is ranked as the best Fashion Academy in the private sector catering to the garment industry.
Deepak has been a pioneer in the field of social responsibility and firmly believes in giving back to society. He runs various charitable organizations such as the ‘Meena Seth Clinic’, which provides free medical aid to the needy and ‘Arpan’, giving free tuition to underprivileged children between the age group seven to 12 years in English, Mathematics and Science.
