Jyotsna Raghunathan is a Scriptwriter/Filmmaker who combines 15 years of industry and academic experience in the field of Mass Communication. Having graduated from Stella Maris College, Chennai in Science, she went on to do a Masters in English Literature from Annamalai University and a PG Diploma in Mass Communication from Sri Aurobindo Institute of Mass Communication, where she specialized in Direction and Scriptwriting. Besides writing scripts, directing and producing over 25 documentaries and corporate films, Jyotsna has been consistently involved in the academic side of Mass Communication, teaching at institutions like Sri Aurobindo Institute of Mass Communication, IILM (Lodhi Road, New Delhi) and SAE College, where she was Dean-IGNOU Project and HOD –Digital Film Department.
Currently, Jyotsna is an Associate Professor at Pearl Academy, where she teaches courses in Communications, Media and Film and Creative Writing. She has also completed PGCHE (Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education) from Nottingham Trent University in 2012. She has been invited as a Jury panelist for an international student film festival and has presented papers at international conferences in Sweden and Mauritius.
