Nokil pursued his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the faculty of Visual Arts, Banaras Hindu University and post-graduation in lifestyle accessory design. He has been a sculptor and lifestyle accessory designer for the last eight years, working with industries and fashion designers Anuj Sharma and Digvijay Singh. He played an important role in identifying design opportunities and brand positioning of 1701 Pvt. Ltd., a luxury leather accessories brand for travelers. He worked with ONIO design studio as a product designer on an innovative project for the medical sector and on perfume bottle design, besides researching for Godrej, Maruti, etc. He has also worked with Govt. and MSME’s as a design expert. Recently, he led a design development team as a senior designer and worked on several projects of accessory for space as a hard goods designer in Jayanita Export Pvt. Ltd for the mass market. He began writing on social topics and human nature for a daily newspaper in 2004 and joined Banaras Press Club as a member (as offered by BPC) to educate and popularize art and craft. After working as consultant and delivering lectures as a guest faculty with DCS (Ministry of MSME) on design, he is teaching Foundation Design at Pearl Academy’s New Delhi campus.

Nokil believes in positive social impact through design. He has good computer skills and experienced in metal, wood, stone, felt, paper, bamboo, leather and fiber glass products as well as production techniques. He explored various design processes to innovate complex products that have multiple layers of opportunities/challenges. He would like to contribute to design and production process development for long-term benefits.
