Sangita Sharma is a competent professional with over 14 years of comprehensive experience in journalism, teaching and corporate relations. After her graduation in Humanities from Miranda House and post-graduation from Delhi University, she joined as a journalist with The Pioneer newspaper in Delhi. Later, she worked as Staff Correspondent for North-East India and reported extensively on social, political and security issues of the border areas of Indo-Bangladesh and Indo-China. She is also a Management graduate from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad with specialization in Human Resource.
She was the winner of the Prem Bhatia Memorial Fellowship for Journalism and was highly appreciated for her thesis on “The Socio-Political Condition of Assam Today and Role of Media in this Regard,” completed under the aegis of Prem Bhatia Memorial Trust. She then joined the Bureau at The New Indian Express in Delhi as a Staff Correspondent.
She moved into the training industry as a Communications professional at SAE College and Aptech where she worked as Deputy Manager–Corporate Communications and handled the media relations of Aptech Ltd for the entire North India.
She trained foreign delegates under ITEC SCAAP (Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation, Special Commonwealth and African Assistance Program), run by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. She has been writing extensively and has contributed articles to various websites and national newspapers like Statesman, Telegraph, Deccan Herald, The Pioneer, Rajasthan Patrika, State Times of Jammu & Kashmir, The Assam Tribune, The New Indian Express, etc.
