Shazia Amanat is a faculty and Course Leader for Fashion Business Management B.A. Hons program and Fashion Lifestyle Business Management B. A. Hons program with the School of Creative Business Pearl Academy, New Delhi. She has a post-graduate degree in Textiles and Clothing from SNDT University, Bombay. She has also completed Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) from NTU, U.K.
She has 20 years of experience in both Academics and the industry. She has held various positions, her last association being with GAP Inc. Her interests lie in the field of research and development of fabrics. She has co-authored a paper titled “Cost-effectiveness of Organic Cotton for the Export Industry”, which was presented in the North India Section of the Textile Institute (NISTI) conference.

She was also involved in the UKERI project “Mapping Employer engagement in Fast Fashion and Using It as a Tool to deliver skills Required in Global Supply Chain”. In January 2014, she presented a paper at the 16th IFFTI conference held in Japan on “Health Socks: Market Awareness and Promotion”. The theme of the conference was Power of Fashion and hosted by Bunka University, Tokyo. Actively involved in various industry projects, she had two successive years of success in Laureate’s James McGuire student business project, where her student was adjudged global winner this year and last year, her student was among the top three.
