Workshop:  Process of Rythm

Facilitator Profile: Manu Chandak is an important musician, performer, and songwriter in the Jaipur performing arts circuit.

Workshop brief: The workshop that he will be conducting will be a mix of Drum Making from empty oil canisters and resilient paper sheets. The workshop will conclude with a drum circle event where Manu will help the participants compose a community beat 


Workshop: Bend it like bamboo

Facilitator Profile: Amber Das  is a freelance designer working in Bamboo. He has worked with Sangaru Design objects, Tripura bamboo mission and more recently has been involved with various food and beverage entrepreneurs of Jaipur for the development of  unique take on Bamboo Disposables.

Workshop Brief: Bamboo is a very versatile and eco friendly material commonly found in India. It has been used since ages to create various products and house construction. The students will learn bamboo bending and basic structure

Workshop: Let’s tell a story

Facilitator Profile:Akshay Sethi's art practice ranges from drawings, comics and installations. He is postgraduate in painting from College of art, New Delhi.

Workshop brief: The workshop ‘Let’s tell a story’ highlights the definition of art as means of ‘communication’. We as a civilisation live with different kinds of stories around us. We communicate with stories all the time. The aim of the workshop is to introduce students to the culture of comics, graphic novels and sequential art.


WorkshopTangible Creations with Crochet

Facilitator Profile: With over 20 years of experience in business skills training and product development in the rural sector and urban poor, I have been working with low income workers, imparting training and design inputs in order to help them develop products that are ready for contemporary markets.

Workshop brief: Crochet is a process of creating a surface by interlocking loops of yarn, thread, or strands of other materials using a crochet hook. The beauty of this craft is that it isn’t limited by tools or material. This gives the concept of craft a new dimension as it can mold itself around surfaces as well as become a separate entity.


Workshop: Learning cyanotype

Facilitator Profile: Delhi-based Ashish Sahoo studied sculpture at the Kala Bhavan, Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan, India. After completing his B.F.A he moved to New Delhi for his M.F.A (College Of Art) where he started experimenting with the materials, starting from video to sound. His works are mostly interactive as he like his viewer to be the constant participants with his work.

Workshop brief: Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used this process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints. The process uses two chemicals: ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide.


Workshop: Art For All: Creative/Expressive Art Therapy

Facilitator Profile: Garima Dutt is an independent journalist, new media professional and teacher based out of Delhi. She has over 15-years of experience in Media, Communications, PR, Advertising, Content Operations, Product & Knowledge Management in New Media (Internet & Mobile, Digital Marketing, Social Media), Print & TV with leading companies like the Zee Media, Times Group, Network 18, NDTV, HT Mint, Business Standard, Buongiorno (now a part of NTT DoCoMo Group) & Cheil (Samsung Group).

Workshop brief: Art is an area which is rapidly evolving today owing to the advent of digital technology. In a day and age, where most of our time is spent on liking, sharing and commenting on pictures and videos on social media, people hardly find time to connect with themselves. With shifting definitions of art pushing its limits, and a whole lot of content available on the internet, people who are interested in using their hands to make something are always confused about where and how to begin.


Workshop: Calligraphy : Love for letters ; letters for love

Facilitator Profile: I have always been fascinated by colours, design and implementation of arts in our daily lives. My love for art grew during my schooling days when I did what I loved doing and didn’t necessarily follow my art teacher. I guess that was my start as a non-conformist and my teachers loved me for it.

Workshop brief: The CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP is designed for the students who want to express their inner true selves, the love that they have for art, the way they see and perceive art as an expression to say, feel and self-introspect their inner most knowing, thoughts and imaginative chaos and want to bring it out through the medium of ‘lettering’.


Workshop: Five days of upcycling

Facilitator Profile: The Sustainable lifestyle label-'Swati Soharia Studio' is a natural outcome of my love for fashion and passion for sustainable living. I train and employ women from marginalized communities to up-cycle waste fabric into textile art for interiors and wearable art for clothing.

Workshop brief: “Five days of upcycling” The workshops revolve around the idea of looking at textile waste as resources instead of waste. Students will be motivated to think outside the box and create Art and Design using tiny pieces of side cut fabric.


Workshop: Resin Art Workshop

Facilitator Profile: I’m Vidushi an Interior Designer by profession. After my schooling at Pathways School, Noida I did my bachelors programme at Pearl Academy, Noida in Interior and Architecture Design. I am currently doing my masters in Interior Design from Amity University, Noida.

Workshop brief: The workshop will begin with an introduction to the art form. Since, resin is tricky all the technical details will be shared with the students. Resin is a two-part compound that hardens to a clear glossy finish. I shall demonstrate how the resin is mixed properly, how to distribute the resin in order to make different colors, how the pigments are mixed and will pour a piece for everyone to see and understand the process thoroughly.


Workshop: Music and bamboo

Facilitator Profile: Rahul sharma is a contemporary musician exploring other disciplines like Bamboo craft and making musical instruments. His interdisciplinary approach makes his work unique and creative.

Workshop brief: The workshop will be about sustainable ways to make musical instruments like straw flutes and cardboard jew harps. There will be simple exercise to open up the voice and rhythm within. We will also explore the material bamboo for making music and creating other simple structures around the campus.

Workshop: Soundify

Facilitator Profile: Head of Satori - Music for Bliss, a platform for study, research and application of music across a variety of fields ranging from healthcare and education, to spiritual empowerment through sound. Karan is also a multi instrumentalist and regularly performs live, records for the industry and tours to lecture, on subjects related to music, to a variety of audiences ranging from doctors, academicians, businesspersons, students of all ages, and musicians.

Workshop brief: An exploration of the sonic realm through interactive group-work. Join us for a ridiculously fun filled learning experience that takes you on a journey that you won't be forgetting in a hurry. In this session you'll learn skills that take you beyond your comfort zone, make new friends and who knows, perhaps take back a serious lifelong hobby! We'll be going through subjects like acoustics, instruments, physics of sound, music and the human body, instrument design and more through group activities.


Workshop: Less is More

Facilitator Profile: Shradha Jain studied Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in Printmaking and further pursued her post-graduation in Film and Video Communication Design from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.

Workshop brief: Less is More (Game workshop): The students will take on a challenge to re-imagine one of the traditional games and use materials to explore the various possibilities of making travel friendly version of the same with the set of materials provided to them. They will choose from amongst the 3-4 unconventional games that they get to play during the first two days of the workshop and work in small teams to embark on the challenge.

AVDHUT NARVEKAR
An alumni of Sir JJ School of art, Avdhut Narvekar is an author of various childrens art books and illustrator at Navneet Publication. He is also an eminent artist and an avid photographer. He has been teaching art to students at Subodh Narvekar's Art classes since his 1996. He has conducted several workshops in schools and colleges as also judged and organised art contests at various institutions.

LABDHI BAVISHI
Labdhi Bavishi is an author of children's books ( Indian Talent) and runs her art class in Kandivli East. She is a knife painting and soft pastels artist and conducts fluid art workshops. inspirational wall with eminent celebs and their famous quotes or lyrics. Paint your favourite inspirational personality who has a deep positive impact on your life. The personality may be your favourite sports person, artist, actor, inventor or leader or even a rock star.

Workshop brief: 19 celebs to be painted using graphic style along with their famous quotes or lyrics on canvases. Student engagement- 18 students will work on 1 canvas each and the remaining 6 students will work on a big sized canvas. The paintings will finally be arranged and amalgated to form a visual treat, an inspirational installation.
