To, me Dahlias have been an inspiration on many occassions as I express my feelings not only about the beauty and awe-inspiring intricacies of the dahlia, but also they help me express my emotions that I get when I look at, work with, and am inspired by dahlias.

I loved the experience I get while exploring Dahlias. I felt truly invigorated and excited while painting them. Not only did I enjoy the techniques while painting them, but also it felt like I was really capturing the EMOTIONAL responses I have for dahlias - their excitement, their vibrancy, their power to 'grip' the eye. The delicacy of the petal or the beauty of the shape or the loveliness of the colour can also be captured by a camera. But as a designer and explorer, I want to express something different - I want to try and convey how i feel about the flower I love so much.
