Vivek Karmokar is a “Visual Artist” and in over 24 years, has taught Art and Design in institutions in India, Australia and Southern Africa. He holds a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from College of Art, Delhi in 1990 and is a Fellow of Art at the Sydney Grammar Foundation, New South Wales, Australia.
To create an opportunity to explore, understand and communicate through art and culture, he has travelled and exhibited his artworks internationally. He has worked on several commissioned projects for the Corporate and Government Sector internationally. The “Pari Chowk Sculpture” at the Express Highway in Greater Noida, U.P., India, is a monumental public art created by Vivek in 2001. His artworks include drawings, installations, products, props, paintings, sculptures, stage and theatre sets in a wide range of mediums and materials, both natural and manmade resources.
