Course - Overview

The creative and communication industries are seeing a phenomenal growth owing to rise in consumerism, advancement in technology, and increased government investment. These creative industries have become one of the largest employers in our country. In order to meet media and entertainment industry’s increasing demand for skilled and well-trained graphic artists and designers, Media and Entertainment Skills Council has recognized Pearl Academy as the only authorized World Skills Training Centre for graphics in Delhi & Mumbai.

Advertising and Graphics program equips students for content execution in diverse media like print and internet for the publishing industry. It helps students to develop a personal and visual vocabulary through form, proportion, image and typography. It produces trained professionals with practical ability, specialized knowledge about graphic design processes, software application, a holistic understanding of communication, and skills.

In this program, the emphasis is on understanding visual design basics, process of developing graphic products like visual identity, leaflets, brochures, posters, web pages, etc. and execution of the same graphic products.

As employed professionals, they will enter into such positions as graphic designer and/or technical support staff, depending on individual abilities etc. In terms of vertical mobility it is expected that they will transit to visualiser and creative designer.

Through this short-term professional program, Pearl Academy and the Media and Entertainment Skills Council are trying to enable a larger number of aspirants to join the visual design field for taking advantage of the enormous career opportunities that exist in the market.

Faculty

Mr. Viveck Vaswani, Actor, Producer, Teacher, Writer, and the man who famously gave Shahrukh Khan his big break in Bollywood. An alumnus of Campion School and Cathedral and John Connon, Viveck started off with acting in India's first TV soap opera 'Khandaan'. He then produced a Marathi film called 'Kis Bai Kiss', and a major television serial called 'Nai Dishayen. He has acted in more than a 100 films and numerous television shows. He has produced 13 films and 2 television shows. Viveck Vaswani has been Advisor/ Consultant/ Strategist to a number of established companies as well as startups in the entertainment business.
