Baljit S. Khurana

Baljit S Khurana is an Architect, Academic, Project Manager, Project Controller, Practice Manager, Practice Manager, Studio Coordinator and Senior Deputy General Manager, with over 32 years of diversified experience. He completed his B. Arch. from Chandigarh College of Architecture in 1986 and M. Arch. in Architecture Pedagogy from Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics, Jamia Millia Islamia in 2016. He also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Distance Education from IGNOU in 2002 and a Diploma in Business Management from ICFAI University in 2016. He is currently pursuing his MBA from ICFAI University.

He has worked on a wide range of prestigious projects with renowned Architecture practices such as Anant Raje, Architect, Stein Doshi and Bhalla, Raj Rewal Associates, Prem Chaudhary Associates, RSP Design Consultants (India) Pvt. Ltd., Hasmukh C Patel Design and Project Management, A Sharma Associates and Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. He has also taught full – time for 16 years at Sushant School of Art and Architecture. Besides, he has organised Faculty Development Programs and International Conferences. He has delivered public lectures and also served as a Juror at leading Indian universities. His articles on Architecture, Architecture Education, Interior Design and Heritage Conservation have been published in Saturday Times, The Economic Times, Architecture + Design, Inside Outside, Society Interiors, Discover India and Swagat.

Besides, he has also maintained a Design and Build practice specialising in residential interiors. Some of his projects have also been featured in Saturday Times, The Financial Express and Hindustan Times. He is also the recipient of The Charles Wallace (India) Trust Travelling Fellowship in Conservation.

He is a Registered Architect with Council of Architecture, Fellow of Indian Institute of Architects, Associate of Indian Institute of Interior Designers, Professional member of Association of Designers of India, Life member – Indian Society of Authors, Indian History and Culture Society, Indian Society of Ergonomics, Indian Society for Technical Education and Indian Building Congress.
