After her schooling at Army Public School,Neeti went on to do her Bachelors in Fine Arts from College of Art, New Delhi (1991-95), followed by a Masters in Textile Design from National institute of Design, Ahmedabad (1995-98). Her interests include Creative Pedagogy and its applications, Design and Crafts, Rural Livelihoods Development, Culture and Art, Fine Arts, Travel and Photography. She considers as her strengths design thinking, management and communication, product development and detailing, exposure and experience in a wide range of crafts and enterprises across India, networking, forward and backward integration.
Neeti is Co-founder of Sumearth Handcrafted Solutions Private Limited and has worked with a wide range of crafts and materials, with an aspiration to harness indigenous handlooms, handicrafts, and design to create income generation opportunities for women. In her stint at Sahara Global Design Studio Limited, she focused on design and development of luxury home furnishing. She has also worked in Jaipur Integrated Texcraft Park P. Ltd. (JITP), under the Switch Asia Project, sponsored by the European Union, through Tradecraft Exchange, UK, on an exclusive high-end range of home furnishings using Sustainable Textiles and Fair Trade Textiles. She worked at Asian Heritage Foundation and ‘JIYO’, a World Bank-funded project to promote crafts in five states of India, besides Sarla Fabrics (Shahi Group) India as Creative Head, Adonis International LTD. Panipath, India as Design Head and DCH (Development Commission Handloom). Her teaching experience includes Pearl Acadmy, Delhi; IICD, Jaipur; FDDI, Noida; Banasthli Institute of Design and Lisaa Design School.
