Prof. (Dr.) Himani Choudhary is the Fashion Business Department Lead with over 20 years of combined industry and academic expertise as a fashion and textiles professor. Before transitioning into academia, she held diverse roles at brands like Gap, Banana Republic, H&M, Macy's, and Tommy Hilfiger. Her work areas encompass fashion marketing, textile design, fibre science, and luxury business development.
Holding a Doctorate from the University of Delhi and UGC NET qualification, her research includes sustainability, water effluent analysis, and eco-friendly product development. She has presented papers at national and international conferences and received the best paper award. She has contributed to institutions like NIFT, Sushant University, Apeejay Stya University, World University of Design, and Delhi University while leading research and curriculum development committees.
Her voluntary work involves artisans from Kashmir, carpet weavers of Bhadohi, and Phulkari artisans of Punjab, in addition to government projects under the Ministry of Textiles, Science, and Technology.
