A graduate from Jewellery Design course, Jaipur campus recently made us proud with his achievement. In his recent stint in Italy where he was interning with Vacheron Constantin, luxury Swiss manufacturer of prestige watches and a brand of the Richemont group selected his project sold it at a price of INR 10crs. Kartik Verma‘s brain child ‘Assuage Mom’ won the prestigious Global James McGuire Business Plan competition 2015, USA. He was rewarded with a low-interest loan of $50,000 USD for the company proposed in his business plan. Kartik, a student of Fashion Business Management (FBM) conceptualized his dream project when he decided to help his sister and many other nursing mothers to comfortably attend their babies in public spaces.
Shivangi Mehta, a student of Fashion Design won ‘Manish Arora Air France Contest 2015’. She was rewarded with the People’s Choice Award and an all-expense paid trip to Paris to witness Manish’s live fashion show. The contest was launched by Air France India with renowned fashion designer Manish Arora to felicitate the young aspiring fashion designers.
Our talented alumnus Rohan Chhabra has recently bagged a job at Ralph Lauren, New York. He also made headlines in recent past for his project, Endangered, which aimed to explore the issue of extinction of endangered species. By designing a series of hunting outfits that turn into representations for the animals under threat, Rohan reminded us of our complicity in the problem.
Kshitij Srinivasan, student of Luxury Brand Management represented Pearl Academy at the coveted ‘WOBI: World of Business Ideas in New York City, USA’. It was a life time experience for Kshitij at WOBI where he attended conferences on some of the legendary story makers such as SIR RICHARD BRANSON, KEVIN SPACEY, JIM COLLINS, STEVE BOCK and many more who shared their inspiring stories of struggles, hardships and the sweet taste of success.
After winning a two month internship at Cosmopolitan, Nayanika Kapoor, student of Fashion Media Communication won an all-expense paid trip and an internship to KOOVS London office.
Tanya Bansal, student from Fashion Design course won at A’ Design Awards and Competition, Italy under the Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design category for her submission. The A’ Design Awards are the world’s largest design awards, presented each year in Italy. The grand jury panel of these awards consists of internationally influential press members, established designers, leading academics and prominent entrepreneurs.
