Dr. Preetha is an accomplished architect-planner with over 23 years of experience in industry and academia. She’s adept at strategic decision-making and performance-driven approaches, managing housing projects, optimizing land use, and planning sustainable infrastructures. With a motto of "inspire, engage, and learn," she encourages her students to hone their critical thinking and comprehensive skills to sustainable development. She collaborates with organizations specializing in environment and sustainability for supporting faculty development & industry exposure to students.A fitness enthusiast, Dr. Preetha enjoys sketching & painting. Her current research focuses on assessing the livability index of different communities to ensure affordability while maintaining the quality of life.
In 2022, during 18th Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar Ceremony by Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR) she was awarded with Exemplary Academic Leader of the Year Award.
