Course - Overview

Conceptualised creative solutions through transformative technologies are integral to this UX UI Design program. Students are encouraged to try new technologies like interactive screens and I.O.Ts apart from obtaining knowledge around visual design, human behaviour, systems thinking, emerging technology and new media, programming, while developing deep understanding towards creating wireframes on Invision, high fidelity on XD, documentation on Figma and user testing among others.

While encouraging cognitive thinking alongside a holistic perspective for UX/UI courses, students are mentored to demonstrate self-direction and originality in tackling and solving problems and act autonomously in planning and implementing tasks at a professional level. They also learn to deal with complex issues both systematically and creatively, make complete data, and communicate conclusions clearly to specialist and non-specialist audiences.

UX borrows from various disciplines, such as ethnography, research, field work, product design, business strategy, information, and semiotics. UI also borrows from various disciplines like illustration, branding, basic graphic design, and typography, which are also taught to the students to create a holistic design outcome
