Course - Overview

Available at Pearl Academy's South Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore campuses, this two-year postgraduate programme is an industry-oriented course that positions the students to acquire a broad view of the global luxury brand management and hence offers a Professional Diploma upon its completion.

Over the years, the luxury sector has grown exponentially in India and accordingly, there is a need for luxury professionals. Pearl Academy is the first institution in India to cater to this need with the two-year postgraduate course in Luxury Brands. The students undertake the rigorous curriculum which develops them towards working for global and Indian luxury brands.

Students from diverse educational backgrounds, who harbour an appreciation of aesthetics, symbolism, luxury products and identity, can join this course to acquire expertise in handling luxury brands. The course trains the students to combine the glamorous ornamentation of luxury along with business strategies to answer the pressing questions in the luxury industry and become sought-after professionals. Students gain comprehensive knowledge of the concepts of retail marketing, design thinking and PR and advertising pertaining to luxury brands, thanks to the industry exposure and training from professionals. The course covers various segments of industry like Haute Couture, RTW, Automobiles, Wine and Champagne, Jewellery, Watches, Hospitality and many more. Overall, the plethora of masterclasses, industry visits and student exchange programme will polish the thinking of students. Students will also get an opportunity to select an elective of their choice on which they will be given more intense inputs, such has Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Management and Operations Management.

Students will be exposed to various Masterclasses by Global Luxury Industry Leaders, National & International Faculties, Experts from the Luxury and Creative Industry, Experienced Faculties, Real Time Learning, Alumni Mentoring and many more.

The students will also acquire a 360-degree understanding of overall Luxury industry and the course will culminate in a final capstone project. The industry-centric curriculum and live industry projects, give them a complete grip over the developed luxury markets and rapidly growing emerging markets.

The skills gained can be used either in their existing roles, or for a future career in brand management and retail operations in the luxury brands. The course has shown consistent record of placements year on year with some of the renowned luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, TCC, DLF Emporio and Chanakya (Marketing department), Mercedes, Bequest Group, Reliance Brands etc. The course imparts knowledge which will lead to their career aspirations.
