Yes, a student may apply provisionally for any course but needs to produce all the original mark sheets/ degrees before 31st Dec 2019.

For 3 Year / 4 Year UG course: 10+2, in any discipline.

For 2 Year PG Course / 11 Months PG program: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

For 11 Months Professional Program: 10+2 or equivalent

For 2 Year MA Program: -

  1. Design (Fashion & Textile) -Graduate Degree in Fashion Design or Textile Design or A Graduate Diploma in Fashion Design or Textile design with at least 2 years work experience in Fashion/Textiles Industry or Any Graduate with 3 Years work experience in Fashion/Textiles Field.
  2. Fashion Marketing - Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

UG/PG - Selection is based on entrance exam & personal interview.

Professional Certificate - Selection is based on personal interview only.

MA Applicants:

  • MAFT Course: Selection is based on personal interview & portfolio evaluation.
  • MAFMG Course: Selection is based on written exam (GPT) and personal interview.

Yes.Applicants may apply for any or all admission cycle simultaneously by applying separately for each cycle.

Result & Admission letter will be available on pearl website. The soft copy is uploaded on the portal and is also mailed on the student’s registered E mail ID.

Partial payment is not accepted. There are two semesters in a year and you have pay full semester fee as per the deadlines specified in the admission letter.

Stage 1: Written Admission Test GPT and DAT

General Proficiency Test (GPT) evaluates a candidate’s proficiency in the English language, Logical reasoning, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation

Design Aptitude Test (DAT) evaluates a candidates’ aptitude for creativity, drawing, design ability, power of observation and imagination, sensitivity to environment and communication skills.

Media Aptitude Test (MAT) evaluates a media school applicant's aptitude for creative thinking (ideation on branding or advertisement or campaign), visual expression (logo design or dialogues & expressions writing: screenplay), command over language (short report writing), and power of observation (human behaviour or visual elements).

Stage 2: Personal Interview (including portfolio evaluation / material handling skill test for Design streams).

All candidates are required to undergo a Personal Interview after the Written Admission Test at their respective Entrance Examination center /Personal Interview center’s mentioned on their Admit Card.

Waiver of Written Test (GPT)

Applicants of PG Pathway are entitled for waiver of General Proficiency Test (GPT) provided they have registered a minimum score as mentioned below. Such applicants will be called for Personal Interview directly subject to submission of valid scores.

The minimum scores of MAT / CAT / GMAT for a waiver of GPT required are as under:

In the event you don’t get your 1st choice of pathway / campus, you will be offered your 2nd choice based on your rank / merit list. You may also apply afresh for the next Admission Cycle.

Yes. You may apply for lateral admission to Pearl Academy via Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) entry. Pearl’s APL Admission Panel will carry out an assessment of your learning outcomes for lateral entry / admission and you will be required to appear for an interview.

Duly filled application for withdrawal from the program has to be submitted online and our Student Development Service team will get in touch with you. No other mode of request would be considered.

If a successful candidate does not join and applies for refund, the fees deposited by the student shall be refunded after deductions as per Academy’s Refund Policy. You can refer it on the admissions page on our website

The Academic Year commences in July / August every year. Please refer to the latest updates on the website.

Students are encouraged to maintain a 100 percent attendance for each semester. However, a minimum of 70% attendance is mandatory to be eligible for assessments. Attendance may mean full presence in all scheduled contact hours between the tutors and the students and will consist of lectures/tutorials/seminars/ practical/workshops/mentoring sessions and any other contact between the tutor and the students.

Students are enrolled for a Course of 11 month Diplomas which are internationally benchmarked, industry integrated and encourage interdisciplinary learning. These Diplomas culminate in a Professional Diploma at the end of their final year.

International Qualification

Pearl Academy diplomas are internationally benchmarked. Through an articulation agreement, students have an option for a full credit transfer for their final year to Torrens University, Australia. Under this agreement, Pearl Academy students get the following options to transfer into an internationally recognized Bachelor of Design/ Bachelor of Business/ Bachelor of Media & Communication degree at Torrens University, Australia.

a) Transfer to Torrens University and complete the final year in Australia with a 40% scholarship.

OR

b) Transfer to Torrens University and complete the final year online while paying the same fees as they did at Pearl Academy.

Indian Qualification

Pearl Academy does not offer any degree program but facilitates learning for Bachelor’s Degree at each of its campuses. Part of the content for Bachelor’s Degree program is delivered in regular time table and special preparatory classes for the examinations are held throughout the year.

Students in Delhi and Noida are facilitated for Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University. For subject details click here.

Pearl Academy recommends the BBA in Retailing (RAI-IGNOU) for students taking up fashion, design and business streams as it will supplement their learning.

Torrens University (Australia) recognizes the learning outcomes of students completing Professional Diploma courses at Pearl Academy based on our internationally recognized curriculum and quality assurance processes and awards a degree in Australia.

Students are eligible to transfer out of Pearl Academy and go to Torrens University after the successful completion of Advanced Diploma.

Torrens University (Australia) degree makes students eligible to pursue post-graduation in any international institution.

On successful completion of two-year PG pathway, a student is awarded a Post Graduate Diploma from Pearl Academy validated by Domus Academy, Milan, Italy. The curriculum of the PG Diplomas is developed in association with Domus Academy. All PG Pathways at Pearl have an in-built 4-week exchange module (optional) at Domus Academy, Milan where students-

  1. Attend classes at Domus Academy
  2. Get a global experience and learn latest international trends
  3. Attend workshops, visit local factories / manufacturing units and interact with the industry experts of international market

Additionally, Domus Academy faculty visit Pearl every year as international faculty.

Pearl Academy is not offering degrees and doesn’t fall under preview of UGC or AICTE.

It is a UGC recognized degree and makes students eligible for higher studies in India.

Pearl will help scheduling special prepatory classes for certain subjects in the timetable to prepare them and support with SOL examination. Part Content is also covered in regular time-table. However, students have freedom to choose the subject of their choice based on their background, interest etc.

Yes, it is mandatory for all students enrolling in the year 2019’. Students of 2018 cohort, if interested, can also enroll for SOL, DU/MU.

Rajasthan ILD Skill University (RISU) is the first Government Skill University of the country, Pearl Academy Jaipur campus has been offered provisional affiliation from Rajasthan ILD Skill University. Rajasthan ILD Skill University (RISU) is the first Government Skill University of the country, established vide the Act passed in the State Assembly on 07.03.2017. With this provisional affiliation, Pearl Academy will now offer Bachelor of Vocation degree (B.Voc.) in Fashion Design, Product & Lifestyle Design & Interior & Spatial Design. Bachelor of Vocation qualification is mapped as per National Skill Qualification (NSQF) under the guidelines of UGC.

B.Voc degree is offered in 1+3 mode. After successful completion of 1 year of foundation program, Pearl Academy students will be eligible for B.Voc. degree. The students enrolled with us last year will be eligible for B.Voc degree in Cohort 2018-2021 and students enrolled this year will be eligible for the same in Cohort 2019-2022.

Students who have completed Foundation programme from any other institute will be eligible to get lateral entry in Level 1 and B. Voc. degree in the Academic Year 2019-20 in different courses at Pearl Academy, Jaipur. This will be basis regular admission criteria for lateral entry.

Merit cum Means Scholarship

The scholarship is constituted to support the deserving economically less privileged students joining Pearl Academy’s Courses each year. The objective of this Scholarship is to support & reward new students constrained by economic limitations.

Chairman’s Scholarship

The scholarship is constituted under the Chairman’s fund to support the deserving economically less privileged students joining / undergoing Pearl Academy’s Courses each year.

Eligibility :

  • Academic Performance
  • No attendance shortfall or disciplinary proceedings against the proposed awardee
  • Preference to wards of Single parents

Based upon the above stated eligibility criteria, individual Campus Directors shall nominate the students for Chairman’s Industry Scholarship.

Chairman’s Industry scholarship may be continued every subsequent year subject to funds/resources available. There is no concept of automatic renewal. However, same policy of fresh nomination, recommendations and approval by the board will follow every year, if not discontinued.

 

Merit Scholarship (Course Toppers)

Merit Scholarship (Course Toppers) will be awarded annually to students who have topped (1st rank) in their respective cohorts, subject to the class size of minimum 30 students. Merit Scholarship) is subject to: –

  • Course Topper achieving the minimum prescribed standards of achievement (Higher Second Class in UG/First Class in PG/Commendation in Masters Program – i.e. min. 60%)
  • Awardee maintaining the minimum prescribed aggregate attendance
  • No disciplinary proceedings against the awardee
  • In the case of class strength being below 30 (but not lesser than 20), the Merit Scholarship will be awarded to the Topper (1st Rank) subject to achieving [UG – minimum 70% marks, i.e., First Class and PG – Distinction].
Note:
  • A student will be eligible for award of only one type / scheme of Scholarship in a given academic year
  • The scholarship amount will be adjusted against student fees. No cheque will be issued
  • All Scholarship decisions will be at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee only and will be final & binding
