Scholarships

Merit cum Means Scholarship

The scholarship is constituted to support the deserving economically less privileged students joining Pearl Academy’s Courses each year. The objective of this Scholarship is to support & reward new students constrained by economic limitations.

Eligibility :

  1. (i) Annual gross parental / family income from all sources – maximum Rs. 6,00,000/- (INR Six lakhs only)

    (ii) or as approved by Committee on individual case to case basis.

  2. Preference to wards of Single parents

Based upon the above stated eligibility criterions, individual applicants shall submit their request for Means Scholarship in the prescribed format along with the following documents:

  1. In case of student having single parent, please provide relevant supporting documents
  2. Parents ITR copy of last 2 years as proof of income

NOTE: There is no concept of automatic renewal.

Notwithstanding anything under this Scholarship, Pearl Academy’s Management has right to continue or abandon this Policy going forward at any given point in time, without any prior written intimation. The CEO will be the final deciding authority for all scholarship decisions.

Chairman’s Scholarship

The scholarship is constituted under the Chairman’s fund to support the deserving economically less privileged students joining / undergoing Pearl Academy’s Courses each year.

Eligibility :

  1. Academic Performance; and
  2. No attendance shortfall or disciplinary proceedings against the proposed awardee; and
  3. Preference to wards of Single parents;
  4. Any deserving student falling under any one of the objectives or as recommendation of the board on case to case basis.

Based upon the above stated eligibility criteria, individual Campus Directors shall nominate the students for Chairman’s Industry Scholarship.

Chairman’s Industry scholarship may be continued every subsequent year subject to funds/resources available. There is no concept of automatic renewal. However, same policy of fresh nomination, recommendations and approval by the board will follow every year, if not discontinued.

Merit Scholarship (Course Toppers)

Merit Scholarship (Course Toppers) will be awarded annually to students who have topped (1st rank) their respective cohorts, subject to the class size of minimum 30 students.

Merit Scholarship (Course Toppers) is subject to : – 

  • Course Topper achieving the minimum prescribed standards of achievement (Higher Second Class in UG/First Class in PG/Commendation in Masters Program – i.e. min. 60%)
  • Awardee maintaining the minimum prescribed aggregate attendance
  • No disciplinary proceedings against the awardee

In the case of class strength being below 30 (but not lesser than 20), the Merit Scholarship will be awarded to the Topper (1st Rank) subject to achieving [UG – minimum 70% marks, i.e., First Class and PG – Distinction].

Note:

  1. A student will be eligible for award of only one type / scheme of Scholarship in a given academic year
  2. The scholarship amount will be adjusted against student fees. No cheque will be issued
  3. All Scholarship decisions will be at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee only and will be final & binding
