In many cases, a student will be offered a job position based on his/her performance at the internships, industry live projects or graduation projects, during which they will be working with various brands and organizations as designers and design assistants. A dedicated team of CRD professionals will be constantly in touch with the students in order to pass on the offers to them and help them build their resume in a cohesive manner. At Pearl, we not only create fashion designers, we create an all rounded industry professionals who can use his/her knowledge acquired during the course in carving a niche across an array of professional verticals in the apparel and fashion industry. As professionals, they will work as Designers at Design Studios of well-established Fashion Designers, Design studio of retail brands, E-retail brands, Export and Buying Houses and at Trend Forecasting Organizations. A. The B.Des in Fashion Design program is a four-year course based on a meticulously curated curriculum by industry experts. Additionally, the program aims to familiarise students with how the Indian and global fashion industries operate across various niches within fashion. Students are encouraged to use cutting-edge software for design, illustration, and virtual prototyping, preparing them to take on professional projects of any scale upon graduating. This is further enhanced by insightful guest lectures, live projects, internships, and collaborations.
A. Applicants are required to appear for the Pearl Entrance Examination to be eligible for the B.Des. in Fashion Design program. This is followed by a personal interview round, during which students also get to showcase their portfolio. Applicants of this exam are evaluated on their creativity, technical knowledge, aesthetics, and designing sensibilities.
To be eligible for admission to the B. Des. in Fashion Design program, applicants must have completed the 10+2 standard from a recognized board in any discipline. While prior knowledge in fashion is recommended, students from any field can apply for this course, making it accessible for anyone who wants to explore the promising field of fashion design. Additionally, the program is offered at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels. For those seeking a shorter course, an 11-month professional course is also available.

A. Pearl Academy offers a merit-based scholarship for all master’s and bachelor’s degree programs, including Fashion Design. Students are eligible for scholarships based on their performance in the Pearl Entrance Exam, which includes a written exam, a personal interview round, and portfolio showcase. Students who have completed their class 12th by July 2023, and are residents of India are eligible to sit for the Pearl entrance exam.
