General Eligibility 

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Final-year students are also eligible to apply, provided they submit the necessary documentation before the admission process concludes. 

  • Age Limit:  

  • For undergraduate programs, candidates should be under 24 years of age as of August 1, 2024. 

  • A relaxation of 5 years is provided for SC/ST and differently-abled candidates. 

  • There is no age limit for postgraduate programs. 

Course-Specific Eligibility 

1. B.Des. Program: Must have completed 10+2 or hold a diploma from a recognized institution. 

2. B.F.Tech. Program: Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 

3. M.Des. Program: Requires an undergraduate degree or diploma from NIFT/NID. 

4. M.F.Tech. Program: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology from NIFT or an equivalent B.E./B.Tech. degree. 

5. M.F.M. Program: Requires an undergraduate degree from any recognized institution. 

Category-Wise Criteria 

  • SC/ST/OBC Candidates: Must provide valid caste certificates. 

  • Foreign Nationals/SAARC/NRI Candidates: Admission for foreign nationals is based on scores from SAT, GMAT, or GRE. 

 

NIFT 2025 Registration Process 

The registration process for the NIFT entrance exam involves the following steps: 

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to nift.ac.in 

2. Find the Prospectus: Under the “Admission” tab, download the NIFT 2025 prospectus. 

3. Register: New users should create an account on the NIFT portal and generate a login ID and password.

Marking Scheme 

In the GAT paper, each incorrect answer results in a 25% mark deduction. However, the CAT paper has no negative marking.
