Brick Workshop
Burnt clay bricks are the most widely used construction material in our part of the world. They are strong, have a beautiful textural quality
and can be used for a variety of different applications. The beauty of bricks lies in its hand crafted versatility. A single block can give
rise to hundreds of patterns of varying complexities limited only by a builder’s imagination. Innovate using a scaled down version of the
humble brick to build walls, jaalis, floors, arches, vaults and domes like the master architects themselves!
Minialture pottery
The word craft feels too small to describe the magic this master craftsman of Rajasthan creates when his hands caress the clay on his
custom designed potter’s wheel. This unique miniature pottery has won him accolades in India and Abroad. The miniature pots can add
charm to any interiors and can even be worn as Jewelry.
This workshop is a unique opportunity to witness, experience, learn and make your own miniature pottery from beginning to end under
the guidance of the master craftsmen and Product & Lifestyle Design Faculty.
3-D Printing
3D printing is also known as the desktop fabrication. The digital 3D-model is usually saved in STL format and then sent to a 3Dprinter
which prints the object layer-by-layer similar to ink-jet printers.
3D printing makes it possible to make a part from scratch in just hours. It allows designers can now experiment with new ideas and
numerous design iterations with no tooling expense. 3D printing could even challenge mass production method in the future.
In the workshop participants can see a live demonstration of the printer printing small accessories/products.
Fashion Make- up Workshop
There is a lot of hard work that goes at the backstage of a Fashion Show. Learn details and insight of what goes behind the Fashion
show backstage and how the make – up is done in real time and thematically with Make up experts.
Metal Plate Etching
Etching is the process of using strong acid to cut into the unprotected parts of a metal surface to create a design in intaglio. (image is
created by cutting, carving or engraving into a flat surface) in the metal. Students can design their own Pendants and loop them in Black
strings. The back plate shall have the logo of Pearl
Jumpering
Jumpering is a technique that involves molding of wires to form something very interesting. Students can explore and make their bracelets,
bag strings, imagine and make ...explore their creativity with wire and beads. PEARL logo coin attached to the take away.
