Can a student apply for UG/PG program in absence of final result of 10+2?

Yes

A student may apply provisionally for any course but needs to produce all the original mark sheets/ degrees before 31st Dec 2019.

What is the eligibility criteria / entry requirements for admission?

For 3 Year / 4 Year UG programme: 10+2, in any discipline.

For 2 Year PG Course / 11 Months PG programme: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

For 11 Months Professional programme: 10+2 or equivalent

For 2 Year MA Program: -

Design (Fashion & Textile) -Graduate Degree in Fashion Design or Textile Design or A Graduate Diploma in Fashion Design or Textile design with at least 2 years work experience in Fashion/Textiles Industry or Any Graduate with 3 Years work experience in Fashion/Textiles Field.

Fashion Marketing - Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.

What is Selection Criteria ?

UG/PG

- Selection is based on entrance exam & personal interview.

Professional Certificate

- Selection is based on personal interview only.

MA Applicants:

  • MAFT Course: Selection is based on personal interview & portfolio evaluation.
  • MAFMG Course: Selection is based on written exam (GPT) and personal interview.

Can I apply for all Admission Cycles?

Yes

Applicants may apply for any or all admission cycle simultaneously by applying separately for each cycle.

How the result will be communicated?

Result & Admission letter will be available on our website. The soft copy is uploaded on the portal and is also mailed on the student’s registered E mail ID.

Can I make partial payment to reserve my seat?

Partial payment is not accepted. There are two semesters in a year and you have pay full semester fee as per the deadlines specified in the admission letter.

How can I schedule a meet with a career advisor?

What is the pattern of admission test?

Stage 1:

Written Admission Test GPT and DAT

General Proficiency Test (GPT)

evaluates a candidate’s proficiency in the English language, Logical reasoning, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation

Design Aptitude Test (DAT)

evaluates a candidates’ aptitude for creativity, drawing, design ability, power of observation and imagination, sensitivity to environment and communication skills.

Media Aptitude Test (MAT)

evaluates a media school applicant's aptitude for creative thinking (ideation on branding or advertisement or campaign), visual expression (logo design or dialogues & expressions writing: screenplay), command over language (short report writing), and power of observation (human behaviour or visual elements).

Stage 2:

Personal Interview (including portfolio evaluation / material handling skill test for Design streams).

All candidates are required to undergo a Personal Interview after the Written Admission Test at their respective Entrance Examination center /Personal Interview center’s mentioned on their Admit Card.

NOTE - For 2 Year MA Programme in Design (Fashion & Textiles): Selection is based on personal interview & portfolio evaluation.

Is there another criterion where I can qualify for admissions without giving entrance exams?

Yes, if you have qualified for following tests:-

Waiver of Written Test (GPT)

Applicants of PG Programme are entitled for waiver of General Proficiency Test (GPT) provided they have registered a minimum score as mentioned below. Such applicants will be called for Personal Interview directly subject to submission of valid scores.

  • AIMA – MAT (2017 / 2018)
  • CAT (2017)
  • GMAT (2014-2018)

The minimum scores of MAT / CAT / GMAT for a waiver of GPT required are as under:

  • Minimum MAT score of 500 or above
  • Minimum CAT score of 60 percentile or above
  • Minimum GMAT score of 450 or above

Waiver of Written Test (GPT) & Design Aptitude Test (DAT)

[Only for UG Course Applicants]

NATA score card 2017 / 2018

Applicable only for 4 Year Course in Interior & Spatial Design (Interior Architecture / Interior Design) and 4 Year Course in Product & Lifestyle Design (Industrial Products / Lifestyle Accessories)

Please enclose a copy of NATA score card 2017 / 2018 (whichever applicable) along with the Application form.

[Only for PG Course Applicants]

Applicants of PG Course are entitled for waiver of General Proficiency Test (GPT) only if they have registered a minimum score as mentioned below. Such applicants will be called for Personal Interview directly subject to submission of valid scores.

What if I don’t get my 1st choice of programme / campus?

In the event you don’t get your 1st choice of programme / campus, you will be offered your 2nd choice based on your rank / merit list. You may also apply afresh for the next Admission Cycle.

Can I get admission with advanced standing / credit transfer for other studies I’ve done?

Yes. You may apply for lateral admission to Pearl Academy via Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) entry. Pearl’s APL Admission Panel will carry out an assessment of your learning outcomes for lateral entry / admission and you will be required to appear for an interview.

Can I block my seat through the Industry Sponsored category?

Yes. however, the Industry Sponsored seats are limited. Please email us at admissions@pearlacademy.com for more details. Industry Sponsored candidates will be required to pay a higher fee.

What are the withdrawal guidelines for the Academy?

Duly filled application for withdrawal from the program has to be submitted online and our Student Development Service team will get in touch with you. No other mode of request would be considered.

What is the process to get my fee refunded?

If a successful candidate does not join and applies for refund, the fees deposited by the student shall be refunded after deductions as per Academy’s Refund Policy. You can refer it on the admissions page on our website

NOTE - Application fee is nonrefundable.

What is the admission criterion for international students?

Foreign Nationals [Foreign passport holder] or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will be considered under the International category. This is irrespective of the country from where they have studied and passed the qualifying examinations.

The eligibility for any UG programme is 10+2 and PG would be graduate from the college.

The Written Entrance Examination is waived-off for International Candidates. International candidates are required to appear for an Interview and Portfolio Evaluation only.
