Radharani Mitra

Radharani Mitra has over 20 years’ experience in communication. She joined BBC Media Action, India in February 2007 after several years in advertising.

She has masterminded several national public service campaigns on sexual health, maternal and child health and tuberculosis. She has also formulated the communication strategy for a massive learning project in Bangladesh and shaped BBC Janala, the interactive learning brand. She has worked extensively on radio across themes such as gender, tuberculosis, bonded labour and maternal and child health.

In 2007, she conducted a special session on Development Communication at Columbia University, New York.

Currently as National Creative Director & Executive Producer, she is spearheading content across various platforms spanning innovative mobile services, mass media –TV, radio, outdoor, community mobilization groups and street theatre.
