Charudutt Chitrak, has been working as a professional photographer for the fashion and advertising industry for the last 16 years and is one of the most sought after and respected photographers in India.

He started his professional training under Pradeep Dasgupta, a prominent name in Indian photography, his first major assignment as a still photographer was for the International Arthouse Film project “SAMSARA” in 2000, and later the Arthouse Film “Valley of Flowers”, both produced by the German based international production company Pandora Film.

Since then his work has been featured in fashion magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, etc., and he created advertising campaigns for COKE, 7 Up, Whirlpool, BMW, Bacardi, JP Group, Philips, Maruti, Hitachi, Muthhoot, Airtel, Aircel Fuji et al. working with Advertising Agencies such as O&M, Contract, Grey, Maccan, Erickson, JWT, Dentsu and BBDO.

He has worked with celebreties from the film, fashion and sports industry such as Naseeruddin Shah, Madhuri Dixit, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, et al.

Charudutt was also commissioned to shoot extensively for the Nirankari Museum in Delhi on an in-depth project on the Nirankaris.

He has worked on several books such as “If I were rain” for the NGO…. where he was working with street kids in there surrounding and getting a deeper understanding of their lives over a period of a few months. The book was Photo edited by Prabbudha Dasgupta.
