Maliha Sultan Chaudhry

Maliha Chaudhry qualified as an architect in Delhi , in 2006, where she worked in private practices, and gained experience in hospitality, housing and commercial projects. In 2008, she completed her M.Arch specializing in Computer Aided Architectural Design from the Mackintosh School of Architecture (Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow). Her thesis focused on Integration of Computer Applications in Architectural Design Process, enriching the creativity with a logical premise. Maliha has worked with Reg Aulds (ARM Architects, Glasgow), Manit Rastogi (Morphogenesis Pvt Ltd) and KT Ravindran. She also worked as freelance architect/researcher for York Civic Trust (York, UK)and for Delhi Art Urban Commission (New Delhi) and is involved in research projects with architects.

A visiting lecturer at School of Planning and Architecture (SPA, Delhi) since 2012 and at USAP (GGSIPU, Delhi), Sunderdeep Institue of Technology, she has been part of the jury and delivered lectures at prestigious architectural institutes. She was part of the organizing committee for the international conference CAADRIA (Association for Computer-Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia) held in New Delhi in 2005.

Maliha has been inclined towards research in the field of Architectural Design Process, specifically analysis in design using Space Syntax theories. The use of softwares such as Depthmap and Rhino was integral to her project during her Masters and is at the core of her research. She has also actively participated in architectural conservation projects.
