Anjali Patni is an Associate Professor of Fashion Design at Pearl Academy with over 24 years of teaching and industry experience in the fields of fashion, textiles, and crafts.
Anjali holds a Postgraduate Degree in Garment Production and Export Management and an Engineering Diploma in Costume Designing and Dress Making. She also earned a BA (H) in Arts from Rajasthan University and a post-graduation certificate in Higher Education from the University of Nottingham in the UK.
Collaboration lies at the core of Anjali's work. She has partnered with prestigious organisations such as Khadi Gramodyog, Weavers Service Centre, Kala Raksha, Khamir, Shrujan, and Bodhshala on diverse initiatives involving craft installations, workshops, student and teacher training, and craft visits. Notably, she embarked on self-initiatives like the Crochet Rakhi project with iTokri and creating instructional videos for students during COVID-19.
Anjali's teaching expertise encompasses 3D garment realisation, embroidery, surface ornamentation, surface and lifestyle product development, and traditional Indian textiles. She is passionate about connecting with grassroots artisans and empowering communities through craft. Anjali brings a wealth of knowledge in fashion, textiles and Indian handicrafts.
