Sharda Nautiyal, an esteemed Associate Professor, has dedicated over a decade to academia, with an illustrious eight-year tenure at Pearl Academy. Her expertise is technical textiles, traditional crafts, and inventive surface design.
Sharda's academic journey boasts a silver medal during her Fabric and Apparel Science Master's from the renowned University of Delhi. Holding the esteemed UGC-NET qualification, she commenced her career as an Assistant Professor at her alma mater, the University of Delhi, leaving a notable mark for three years. She has also been a research investigator in Delhi University innovation projects funded by UGC.
A skilled writer, she has co-authored three defining works on home furnishings and textile accessories with Usha International Pvt. Ltd. Her literary prowess extends to chapters on Indian traditional textiles for IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University, India).
Further, Sharda has also presented her research on naturally coloured cotton and Indian traditional crafts internationally. Her passion for the art and love for teaching has led her to mentor countless students in innovative and sustainable textile design and host workshops on intricate techniques like Shibori and Batik across India's educational institutions.
