Introduction

Our placement process is designed to empower our students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and industry exposure to succeed in their chosen fields. From personalised career guidance to practical experiences and strong industry connections, we go the extra mile to ensure that our students are well-prepared to thrive professionally. In 2022, we achieved an exceptional 99% placement record, a testament to our unwavering commitment towards ensuring the success of our students.

Placement Structure

  1. Professional Development sessions are a must for students to attend. The sessions primarily cover interview skills, do’s and don’ts on the job. Basic dressing for interviews and post joining. Email etiquettes, professional behaviour at the workplace. During these sessions we also invite industry experts to speak to the students on these topics.
  2. During our session with the students, we support them in making their resumes. We share current resume trends and formats to ensure our students have best chances during resume shortlisting by companies. Post the students uploading the resumes on the portal, the career service department checks and vets the resumes before finally sharing profiles with the companies.
  3. An industry awareness test is conducted, the test has questions about the industry and current trends. It primarily tries to cover questions that could be asked during the interviews.
  4. Students fill a profiling sheet where they mention their interest areas, location preferences, industry preferences and dream companies that they would like to work with.
  5. Mock interviews are conducted to help prepare students better for the real life situation. This helps students understand how to present their resume and portfolio. Also, learn how to answer questions professionally during the interview.
  6. Companies reach out to us with job opportunities. Some companies conduct a pre-placement talk whereas, some directly conduct interviews. Interviews are either conducted on-campus, off-campus i.e., at the company’s location or virtually.

1. Portal Orientation

Introducing students to the placement portal. The placement portal is an online forum where all jobs for campus placements are posted and processed.

2. Portal Registration

Following the portal orientation, students receive their sign in credentials on the PA email id. The students register on the portal with their basic information and also upload their resumes and portfolio links.

3. Professional Development Sessions

1. Pre-Placement Talk

As a part of our placement drive, we invite renowned organisations to our campus to share details of their organisation, job responsibilities and compensation packages. This empowers our students to make informed decisions about their future.

2. Portfolio Shortlisting

Once the resumes are shortlisted, the next and most crucial step in the selection process is reviewing the portfolios. It is important for students to showcase their unique talents and skills in their portfolios.

3. Assignment evaluation

Leading companies assess students’ creativity and time management skills based on time-bound assignments. These challenges provide students with an opportunity to prove their mettle and shine.

4. Resume Shortlisting

The initial screening process is based on resumes, making it essential to ensure the resume effectively represents the potential of the student.

5. Personal Interview

The shortlisted candidates are invited for personal interviews, giving the, a chance to demonstrate their suitability for the role.

6. Final offer

Upon successful evaluation, the final offer and confirmation are shared with the Career Service Department and the selected students.

Placement Policy & Eligibility

The placement policy applies to all students who are in the final year of their study at Pearl Academy and are seeking placement assistance from the Academy. Campus Placements Policy is binding till the placement cycle is over or till the time student is not placed.

Eligibility & Registration

  1. All full-time registered final year students of Pearl Academy and who clear all the parameters below (except international students under student exchange program for specific semesters) are eligible to participate in the placement support activities through the career service department hereafter referred as career service department (students pursuing their final year from Pearl Academy's partner institutions will be provided job assistance as alumni).
     
  2. To be eligible for the placement support offered by Pearl Academy's career service department, the student should ensure the following:
  • Students should have cleared all the fees for previous semesters to be eligible for placement cycle. There should be no outstanding financial obligation towards the college.
  • Students should have a minimum of 75% attendance throughout their academic program until the start of the placement cycle.
  • Students should have successfully cleared all modules and exams up to the point of placement or interview to ensure that they have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills required for placement.
  • Students should have a minimum of 90% attendance in the training sessions such as resume/portfolio sessions, mock interviews, portal sessions, master classes or related activities organized by placement department.
  • Students should also have a minimum of 90% attendance in life skills training. These trainings mainly focus on essential life skills like communication, teamwork, problem solving and technical know-how.

Note: To ensure uniformity, Pearl Academy offers placement support formally through the career service department. In case a student has industry contacts and means to secure an opportunity by him/herself then he/ she must inform the career service department and opt-out of the placement process.

Pearl Academy and Career Service Department reserve the right to amend/add/remove any rule pertaining to the situation at that time. Career Service Department will duly notify the students about the change.
