School of Fashion, Styling and Textiles is the powerhouse of innovation and creativity, where students are offered industry oriented programs in fashion designing, styling and fashion media make-up. Empowered with research and intensive creative exploration, our programs are designed to enhance critical thought process and develop individual design aesthetics. We emphasize on the combination of technical skill sets along with human touch which leads to synergy of innovative ideas and creative solutions.

With a dedicated team of highly competent, trained and industry experienced, both local and international faculty members, the learner gains real-time industry information. Apart from classroom teaching, the students are exposed to various workshops, master classes conducted by the industry experts in association with the fashion design council of India, to give them the experience of what lies ahead.

Internship and work integrated practices provide students with practical understanding of working in the industry and bridges the gap between education and work space. The curriculum is holistically designed in order to maintain a proper balance between theory and practical knowledge, using updated teaching and learning methodologies. The integration of theoretical and applied practices leads to well-developed transferable and interpersonal skills.

It is a complete course touching all major areas of design, art and craft culture in respect to current fashion. Coming from an absolutely different background, we learnt the basics, right from threading a hand-sewing needle to stitching high-fashion couture garments in a span of a year. I now feel more responsible towards the revival and uplift of rich Indian crafts and our artisans.

Being in the fashion design industry and working in core design development is very challenging, yet extremely exciting. The turning point started with Masters in Fashion at Pearl Academy. Ever since, it has been an enriching experience being involved in various design projects with Tarun Tahiliani, Pearl Academy, Rohit Bal and the Middle East market and many more. Like a Pandora’s Box unfolding, the joy of designing is so contagious that all this seems just the beginning.”

The projects, curriculum and exposure received from Pearl Academy was international in nature. Pearl prepared me towards the next step of my education. I was selected at the Pratt Institute to pursue my Masters in Communication Design. I am proud to have been trained at the Pearl Academy and without any doubt would recommend Pearl to be the future designers to pursue their studies.

I have done Fashion Business Management from Pearl Academy. I always wanted to combine my creative skills with my business acumen. I am working as a Product Developer with American Eagle. As fashion products change every season, this is a very exciting field to work in. More and more brands are coming to India and I see a very bright future for myself and others in this area.

Limitless is the scope that’s available to me today. Blending creativity and sound management, I’ve been able to take a simple family-run ethnic wear wholesale business to the next level. Bringing in ethnic branding, international projects, creative collaborations with couturiers and new dimension of luxury has helped create an ambitious yet sensible modern enterprise that knows no boundaries.

At present, I work with Gautam Kalra, the renowned freelance commercial stylist. Apart from this, I have worked with some of the best stylists, magazines, designers and celebrities like Arjun Bhasin, Aparna Chandra, Harper’s Bazaar, Manish Arora for Kingdom of Dreams, Namrita Joshipura, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Kareena Kapoor, Diana Penty, Shikhar Dhawan, etc. Each assignment has given me a new learning experience, which has helped me grow more at every stage. The journey of getting into this professional life started from the assignments and fun at Pearl Academy, which made me strong to face the real challenges of life.

The Pearl Academy course helped set the base for who I am today. Currently, I am analyzing films on diverse issues and have won accolades at film festivals across the country. I have been able to develop my passion into a profession and I love every minute of it.

Pearl created the foundation to pursue my higher studies at FIDM. The curriculum is rigorous, with experienced faculty sharing knowledge of international trends and markets. I am happy that I chose Pearl Academy.

I started working right after graduation, but felt something amiss. That’s when I was introduced to Styling for Interiors. As a stylist, I worked with various magazines like Elle Decor, BBC Good Homes, Casaviva and also did freelance shoots for Maxim and Femina. I have also styled brochures for various stores and done up store and window displays. As a field, I think Interior Styling is an extremely upcoming field as more and more people are moving into builder houses and semi-furnished rented apartments where there is a greater need for a decorator to help do up the space than a full-on designer.

I design jewellery under my signature label, which I introduced just after the completion of my course at Pearl Academy. In 2011, I was nominated for ‘Rising Star’ for my creativity and designing. The honor is organized by the well-reputed JCK, Las Vegas Show given to five select 5 upcoming designers (Jewellery Artists) from across the world.
