Scope: Digital media, Television, Print media, Culture & Society, Politics & Media, Economic & Business Reporting, Historical context, importance of creating and contextualizing message, new age, design-based, digital and tech savvy mass media program

Our 1 Year PG Pathway in Journalism & Mass Communication offers a cutting-edge, modern curriculum for new-age digital learner. It is a unique & new course developed to train media professionals, journalists with an international perspective.

This course prepares students for careers in the film, TV, digital media, music & entertainment industries. It will train students to become confident storytellers with skills in management of the creative and production process from concept through completion across a range of media platforms from television, to online, mobile to big screens, and experience zones.

It is a unique course that will provide you with a deep knowledge of current practices in the media and entertainment sector to ensure quality content and smooth productions, meeting deadlines, and staying within budgets.

International Exposure

On successful completion of this two year PG pathway, a student is awarded with Post Graduate Diploma. 

All PG Pathways at Pearl have an in-built 4-week exchange module (optional). This alliance gives them the following opportunities:-

1. Get a global experience and learn latest international trends.

2. Attend workshops, visit local factories/manufacturing units and interact with the industry experts of international market.

3. International faculty members regularly visit Pearl Academy to to instill fresh learning in the students. Apart from international expertise, these experts bring immense cultural knowledge with them.


Through such exchanges programmes, Pearl ensures that the students learn not only the technical aspects of the domain but also a new culture. In 2016, over 80 students were a part of the exchange program. These students were from all 3 centers and across various PG courses like Fashion Business, Fashion Design, Interior Design & Styling, Luxury Brands, Fashion Communication, Communication Design and Fashion Styling & Image Design.

 

Other International Opportunities

A post graduate diploma in Fashion Communication from Pearl Academy in acquaintance with Domus Academy, Milan gave me great insight in understanding of the nuances within the fashion industry and triggered me to learn and excel.

Presently, I work with a global fashion magazine ‘Harper’s Bazaar Bride India’ as their junior fashion stylist. As a stylist, I had the opportunity to develop and maintain relationships with brands around the world, interact with industry experts as well as anchor large projects for my firm. I have worked on fashion shoots with prominent Bollywood celebrities, from researching and acquiring wardrobe for the editorial to hiring the necessary talent and scheduling the shoot. My work also entails building a positive relationship with international brands for them to participate in future projects and collaborations with the publication.
